I started to collect cans and scrap metal and work in the fields to help my family with expenses. At the age of 12, I divided my time between school and work at my uncle’s part-time shoe factory with my dad. After a few years, my father passed away. He left us early and these were the hardest years of my life and that of our family. I could not continue working in that environment that always reminded me of him.
I made the decision to leave my city and embark on a new journey, seeking fresh challenges. My ultimate goal was to find opportunities to enhance my personal and professional growth and find purpose in life. I found what I was looking for when I arrived in the USA.
